Miami, FL – In a nail-biting finish that showcased her poise under pressure, Megan Schofill claimed the NXXT Women’s Open title at Stone Creek Golf Club in her professional debut, posting a final score of -6 (210). Despite challenging winds at 45 mph and near-freezing temperatures, Schofill persevered against a highly competitive field, securing a one-stroke victory that cements her status as one of the most exciting new talents in women’s golf.

A Rising Star Emerges

Already a standout amateur—featuring accolades such as 2023 U.S. Women’s Amateur Champion, multiple All-American honors, and five invitations to the Augusta National Women’s Amateur—Schofill’s nerves of steel underlined her readiness for the pressures of the professional stage. She becomes the fourth golfer this season to secure a title in her professional debut on the NXXT Women’s Pro Tour, joining Annabelle Pancake, Alice Hodge, and Laney Frey.

“Megan’s ability to deliver in such a tightly contested tournament, particularly against seasoned professionals, speaks volumes about her competitive spirit,” said Stuart McKinnon, CEO of NXXT Golf. “Her triumph reflects what the NXXT Tour stands for—spotlighting and supporting emerging stars in women’s golf.”

Before we look at the final standings, it’s worth applauding the rest of the field. NXXT Tour standouts Jessica Porvasnik (full-time LPGA status) and Alexandra Swayne (full-time LET card) both mounted impressive challenges, while Bobbi Stricker fired a tournament-best 66 in the final round to secure a fourth-place finish at -3—only three shots off the lead.
